Valanni restaurant opened its doors in September of 2000, introducing "Medi-Latin" cuisine to Philadelphia. Situated right off of the "Avenue of the Arts," Valanni has become a pre-theater ritual and place to meet for a night-cap for many who live in and around the neighborhood. The bar at Valanni keeps up with the creative food served by offering an assortment of sangria, mojitos and other specialty drinks. The kitchen is open until 1 AM daily serving Tapas and a Mediterranean inspired lounge menu.

Visited during restaurant week. Nice atmosphere. Great bar staff. No love in the food. The best thing was the calamari. My friendâ€™s mussel appetizer came with 5 shells and a total of 3 mussels. The paella was over saturated with sauce and chicken. The fried Oreo with ice cream was nice but I canâ€™t imagine paying $7 for 1 fried Oreo on a regular night. I would recommend this place for drinks only.

Really enjoyed this place... went there during restaurant week. My burger was really good and so were the brussel sprouts. The atmosphere is nice and chill.
